WHAT ARE OPENING GAPS?
Opening gaps occur when a stock or index opens at a higher or lower price than it settled at the previous day. Momentum gaps are gaps whose nature favors the creation of substantial continuation or reversal patterns following the open, leading to rapid profit potential with minimal risk in a short period of time.
To learn more about this style of trading, please keep reading….
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN?
A complete understanding of the different classifications of gaps and which of those have the highest probability for strong momentum moves out of the open, as well as which have the greatest odds of a trend day, and which ones you should avoid entirely.
Market timing techniques designed to get you into and out of the market at the most opportune moments and a system you can use to build confidence and eliminate hesitation.
In depth discussion of the building blocks upon which predictable price patterns are developed.
Extensive training on how to read core price action, WITHOUT having to rely upon any indicators.
Risk management techniques that allow you to conservatively receive at least three times your risk per trade. It is quite common for Toni’s strategies to yield rewards upwards of 10 times the initial risk on gap setups.

John Person’s Candlesticks And Pivot Point Strategies Trading DVD
I walked in to try and wrap up the session and joked “What, is he giving away the secret formula?”
One of the traders standing in the back of the room said, “Actually, yeah. John Person is giving away his proven strategy. I’ve seen his webinars and other presentations, even read his book and this is the most powerful stuff I’ve seen. His recipe for spotting turning points with candles is the ticket I have been missing for years.“
I am constantly looking for the trading method that even I, someone who is drawn towards the simple and effective, can use. That is what made this course catch my attention. It is perfect traders who want to see results and not have to reinvent the wheel.
Watching John Person outlining the key candle patterns he uses and hearing the excitement in that trader’s voice peaked my interest. I watch more presentations than I care to admit and always find myself looking for the “ah-ha” moment that gives the strategy that really works. I found myself very optimistic that I might find the trading strategy that worked for my simple and reliable style.
As I watched (and reviewed the disc many times) I fell in love with John’s proprietary pivot point filtering method and the unique candlestick patterns he uses. The known patterns are great and well used by nearly everyone, but the candle formations that John outlined were different than I had ever seen before this course.
Here is a short list of the things that I felt even I could use to trade:
- The most revealing information on Pivot Point Analysis that works to find trades,
- Both known candle patterns and unknown (and which ones work best),
- Clear and powerful reversal patterns that set-up big money trades,
- How seasonal patterns can solidly confirm a huge breakout and get you in early,
- Breaking down the myths of the doji candle pattern and how to truly trade it for gains,
- Candle charts that hand you money-making triggers and dream set-ups.
|
In fact, in just the first 10 minutes, John handed over his momentum power play pattern that is extremely effective in both bullish AND bearish climates. Just rattled it off and gave the parameters. And it didn’t stop there.
I saw this as the approach that fit my style. Efficient and effective. No wasted time, just the highest percentage set-ups that give the best possible return.

A constant theme in my Bollinger Bands materials is the use of a set of non-correlated indicators to aid in the interpretation of price action and Bollinger Bands. There are many possibilities to select from including trend, momentum, supply/demand and psychological indicators. The “one-from-column-A, one from-column-B” method provides the most robust approach in that it gathers the maximum amount of information with the least amount of duplication.
A large number of indicators have been created to clarify the relationship between supply and demand in the markets. Some are derived from price, some are based on sentiment and some are based on volume. I believe that the most important key to understanding this dynamic balance is volume. Volume, and the indicators created from it, constitute an under-utilized data set that offers the investor fertile ground for exploration in the already well-turned field of security price analysis. In this 1 ½ hour class I present the most important volume indicators and how to utilize them.
Indicators Covered:
- 50-day Volume Moving Average
- Normalized Volume – %v
- On Balance Volume
- Volume-Price Trend
- Intraday Intensity
- Accumulation Distribution
- Negative Volume Index
- Positive Volume Index
- Money Flow Index
- Volume-Weighted MACD
- 20-day OBV Oscillator
- 21-day Normalized Intraday Intensity Oscillator
