Foreign Exchange – Advanced CMT Trading Course DVD with William Dale
This video will sit you down right beside the pros as they learn exactly how to trade the Forex markets.
In this special video, William Dale, Vice President and Portfolio Manager for RBC Dominion Securities, one of Canada’s leading Forex trading firms, answers both those questions – not just for you, but for fellow brokers and analysts hoping to join him as a pro in these exciting markets. Dale’s presentation, made at the annual training seminar of the Market Technician’s Association, shows you all the basics of the foreign-exchange markets, details the many factors that influence currency values and prices, and explains exactly how to best use technical analysis in trading the Forex markets. You’ll get the same training that seminar attendees received to help them in passing their exams to become Chartered Market Technicians, meaning you’ll have all the information you need to personally analyze and trade currencies and their derivatives – just like the pros. Polish your CMT exam skills by hearing from the experts in the toughest exam areas
Our Advanced CMT Topics track is designed for candidates in the CMT Program and recent graduates. This track covers seven topics with which candidates tend to have the most difficulty, particularly on the CMT Level 3 essay exam. The presentations cover three of the most complex topics:
Japanese candle charting, point & figure charting and Elliott Wave Principle, all taught by practitioners. These areas seem to give candidates the most difficulty on the exams, so an hour with the experts should prove to be a valuable education. The presentations on equities, foreign exchange, commodities and currencies are taught by individuals whose careers are dedicated to analyzing these markets. Many CMT candidates only focus on one of these markets; these sessions are designed to get candidates up to speed on analyzing markets with which they may not be familiar.
Altogether, these seven sessions are designed to give attendees insights into how technical analysis Is applied in the real world. As well, these sessions are designed to be the perfect preparation for the essay questions on the CMT Level 3 exam which covers each of these areas. The insights of the practicing technicians who lead these sessions are representative of those insights required to pass the exams. These sessions were designed with CMT candidate feedback in mind. Often, candidates who spend their work day analyzing one market or primarily utilizing one technique, have a difficult time shifting gears to address all of the markets and techniques covered by the CMT Program.

The FX market is riddled with technical analysts, and every type of analysis is actively used all the time. Elliott Wave and Gann are particularly popular, but standard statistical techniques, patterns and candlesticks are also used. The FX market is the largest (volume) and most liquid market. It is a 24-hour market, thus a model of how equity trading will look in a short time. This market is relatively unique in having government intervention and is sometimes correlated with other markets such as equities and gold. Barbara, as an indicator junkie, will show you what methods she uses and why the Average True Range Channels help her stay out of trouble. She will also discuss the dilemma of trading multiple time frames and why there is often more profit in trading the correction than the trend.

J. Adam Hewison, the founder and president of INO.com, will share with you the technical tools he uses every day to determine trends in the foreign exchange markets. He will also discuss the outlook for the U.S. dollar and major cross-rates and show you a very simple technique to determine the major trend in the currency markets.
