John Person’s Candlesticks And Pivot Point Strategies Trading DVD
I walked in to try and wrap up the session and joked “What, is he giving away the secret formula?”
One of the traders standing in the back of the room said, “Actually, yeah. John Person is giving away his proven strategy. I’ve seen his webinars and other presentations, even read his book and this is the most powerful stuff I’ve seen. His recipe for spotting turning points with candles is the ticket I have been missing for years.“
I am constantly looking for the trading method that even I, someone who is drawn towards the simple and effective, can use. That is what made this course catch my attention. It is perfect traders who want to see results and not have to reinvent the wheel.
Watching John Person outlining the key candle patterns he uses and hearing the excitement in that trader’s voice peaked my interest. I watch more presentations than I care to admit and always find myself looking for the “ah-ha” moment that gives the strategy that really works. I found myself very optimistic that I might find the trading strategy that worked for my simple and reliable style.
As I watched (and reviewed the disc many times) I fell in love with John’s proprietary pivot point filtering method and the unique candlestick patterns he uses. The known patterns are great and well used by nearly everyone, but the candle formations that John outlined were different than I had ever seen before this course.
Here is a short list of the things that I felt even I could use to trade:
- The most revealing information on Pivot Point Analysis that works to find trades,
- Both known candle patterns and unknown (and which ones work best),
- Clear and powerful reversal patterns that set-up big money trades,
- How seasonal patterns can solidly confirm a huge breakout and get you in early,
- Breaking down the myths of the doji candle pattern and how to truly trade it for gains,
- Candle charts that hand you money-making triggers and dream set-ups.
|
In fact, in just the first 10 minutes, John handed over his momentum power play pattern that is extremely effective in both bullish AND bearish climates. Just rattled it off and gave the parameters. And it didn’t stop there.
I saw this as the approach that fit my style. Efficient and effective. No wasted time, just the highest percentage set-ups that give the best possible return.

From the MTA Education Seminar 2005 – Advanced CMT Topics
Polish your CMT exam skills by hearing from the experts in the toughest exam areas
Advanced CMT Topics track is designed for candidates in the CMT Program and recent graduates. This track covers seven topics with which candidates tend to have the most difficulty, particularly on the CMT Level 3 essay exam. The presentations cover three of the most complex topics:
Japanese candle charting, point & figure charting and Elliott Wave Principle, all taught by practitioners. These areas seem to give candidates the most difficulty on the exams, so an hour with the experts should prove to be a valuable education. The presentations on equities, foreign exchange, commodities and currencies are taught by individuals whose careers are dedicated to analyzing these markets. Many CMT candidates only focus on one of these markets; these sessions are designed to get candidates up to speed on analyzing markets with which they may not be familiar.
Altogether, these seven sessions are designed to give attendees insights into how technical analysis Is applied in the real world. As well, these sessions are designed to be the perfect preparation for the essay questions on the CMT Level 3 exam which covers each of these areas. The insights of the practicing technicians who lead these sessions are representative of those insights required to pass the exams. These sessions were designed with CMT candidate feedback in mind. Often, candidates who spend their work day analyzing one market or primarily utilizing one technique, have a difficult time shifting gears to address all of the markets and techniques covered by the CMT Program.

Enhance Profitability Using Gann Analysis and Candlestick Charting by Cornelius Luca
In this session, you will learn how to enhance your analytical acumen and the profitability of your trading. Cornelius will show you how to utilize Gann analysis in conjunction with Japanese candlesticks.
Trading pioneer William D. Gann’s approach, developed in the first part of the century, is proving to be profitable far beyond traders’ expectations. Drawing from the analysis of Charles Dow, Gann focused his own analysis on new directions that dealt with intraday trading signals and trend analysis. Pivot points off the Cardinal Square provide the best-known intraday signals. Gann analyzed trends with help from angles based on his own percentage retracements. Gann is equally known for a retracement method he used based on the squaring of price and time.
Gann tools are greatly facilitated by the use of candlestick charts, which make unique trend reversal and continuation formations much easier to identify than regular bar charts. In addition, candlesticks provide a rich assortment of tools for dealing with consolidation and can help traders traverse congestion areas in a profitable manner.

Candlestick Trading For Maximum Profits
Not All Candlestick Reversal Patterns Are Created Equal
Most courses or books on the subject will teach you the signals and maybe a little about using indicators to find a stock at the bottom or top of a trend. But what they don’t tell you that those same signals can happen at any point on any chart you look at. Just as an example, lets take the bullish engulfing reversal pattern (shown at left). The bullish engulfing pattern is an extremely powerful reversal signal and most will tell you that. They show illustrated charts that will demonstrate the bullish engulfing pattern that formed prior to a nice uptrend as it was found at the bottom of the previous downtrend. Well, it’s easy to show you what’s happened in the past as if this happens every time a bullish engulfing pattern forms on a chart! What they don’t tell you is, this same pattern can show itself anywhere on a stock chart…not just at the bottom! Check it out for yourself! Find a candlestick chart of a stock that trends up and down and see for yourself. You’ll find the bullish engulfing pattern in the middle of up trends, tops of trends, down trends and bottom of trends and only one of those will make you money. The same is true for all candlestick reversal patterns.
The course includes two eBooks. We start from the basics of candlestick charting and work our way to advanced methods of spotting reversal patterns. You will learn:
- Candlestick history to present.
- Candlestick theory.
- Candlestick comparisons.
- Bearish candles.
- Bullish candles.
- Candlestick psychology.
- Candlestick reversal patterns.
- Conditions that enhance reversal pattern signals.
- Reversal pattern psychology.
- All with plenty of illustrated examples and charts!
Once you have studied and learned the written portion of the course we move on to advanced video training. In these five videos and handbook you will master:
- Reading a candlestick chart.
- Candlestick reversal pattern recognition.
- Market Psychology.
- Candlestick price patterns.
- The candlestick trading system.
- How to apply my candlestick trading system.
- Bullish and bearish trade entry points.
- How to trade my system profitably.
- How to quickly find candlestick trades each day after the market closes.
- Much More!
